CUSTOMER CHECK AID BEFORE DRILLING A WELL
Documents to submit
- A copy of the permit (long version) for groundwater collection obtained from the municipality where the work is planned,
- A copy of the location plan (from your septic engineer) for the planned location of the well and inform us of the need for cementing if required. with the permit given by the municipality,
- A copy of the contract signed with all the contact details by the owner(s) of the premises or the contractor. If the contract is made with a contractor this will require notice of contract to the owner.
Field location
You must display the permit on your land and post a stake at the exact location of the drilling as provided for in the permit requested and obtained.
Accessibility of the land: trees and electrical wires
- The customer must provide the required permits from his municipality. Because you may need to cut down trees to provide a safe space to mobilize the drill before drilling.
- It is also necessary to avoid deliveries of materials or the presence of another contractor (e.g. foundation) on site during drilling, due to lack of space (large machinery). Provide a sleeve in the

- Provide a small diversion trench (if required) to divert the water that the drilling will produce. This will depending on the location of the house versus the well .
Customer Responsibility
The client has responsibilities: permits, excavation, obligatory technologist to supervise the cementing if necessary, during work. Also, the electrician, plumber and restoration of the premises (existing construction) coordination of the work and the Following the backfilling of the trench, it is also necessary to make and maintain a mound of clay with a radius of one meter around the well to keep runoff water away and prevent the accumulation of stagnant water.

- Restoration of premises

- Well disinfection
Customers should do disinfection of the well after drilling and pump installation is completed. The customer will have to carry out this disinfection during the preliminary steps before carrying out the analysis of their water recommended by the Ministry of the Environment. It is recommended to wait until the water has been running sufficiently and for a time when you will not need water on the site.
- Reports
Clients will receive a copy of the drilling report by email following final payments and we will also take care of sending it to the MDDEP and the Municipality.
